Hello, my name is Atif M. Qureshi and I am a Fire Protection Engineer.  I worked in Las Vegas, Nevada as a Fire Protection Consultant for Rolf Jensen and Associates (RJA) from February 2003 to August 2005.  I lived in Green Valley, Henderson, Nevada in a beautiful home that I purchased in March 2005.

From ~2002-2005, Henderson, Nevada and Las Vegas appeared to be one of the fastest growing cites/regions in the entire country with approximately 6,000 people moving here every month.  Approximately 2,000 people also move out every month for a net of approximately 4,000 new residents moving here every month.  That is still a lot for a region of this size.

It is not the easiest to meet new friends or find interesting activities to do here in Vegas that won’t drain your wallet.  The strip has many wonderful shows, attractions and restaurants, but they do come with a price.  Locals residents do have the opportunity to obtain discounts to some of these events, so be sure to ask if any discounts apply to your activities.
